Motor vehicle parts that needs regular care

Any object that helps us to move from one place to another is very important to man, since the advent of motor vehicle man’s stress has been drastically reduced, as he can move from place to place with ease.
Motor vehicle are very important to everyone as they help to strengthen family bonds, help people get closer to friends and colleagues, shield people from rain, help people get to their places of work fast and most importantly, help make emergency visits to the doctor an easy one. Motor vehicles, like humans, need care especially these days when most vehicles are second hand ones. Below are some of the important parts and how to care for them.
First is the engine, which is compared to the human heart. The engine needs regular care to enable it work effectively. To maintain a car engine therefore, there is need for regular change of engine oil.
Also, it is important that the oil filter is regularly changed. This should be done more often than the manufacturers suggest. It is also necessary that the engine is not allowed to overheat.
Furthermore, spark plugs, air filter and timing belt need to be changed as often as possible to avoid costly repairs. It is also wise to change these often to avoid accidents.
The carburetor is another important part of a motor vehicle that needs regular care as it helps to maintain the efficiency of the engine. The inlet manifold inside the carburetor needs to remain clear always because it needs air flow to function properly. The carburetor plays an important role which is to mix the correct amount of fuel and air in order to promote combustion and power.
Although, most new vehicles now have fuel injectors and do not have carburetors old vehicles still have and there is need to take good care of them for effective functioning.
In conclusion, the important roles performed by the engine and the carburetor show that they are very important to the effective running of a motor vehicle. They therefore need repair case to enable one’s vehicle function effectively.

Choose two other parts from one’s written in essay above and brainstorm in groups how to care for them. Write your points down and show your work to your teacher.
Exercise 3
Home work
At home, ask your parents to tell you how to care for these parts. Write these points down and add to what you have already. Consult textbooks or use the internet to get more points on your chosen topic. Use all you have got to write an outline and later your first draft. Also take note of effective use of linking works. Show your work to your teacher.
