DEITY IN MAN

When God created man from the dust of the earth he breath into him and he became a living being. That is the creation story of man that should make to remain the humblest of all creatures made by God but this same man has exalted himself to the highest heavens by a factor called PRIDE. Pride is the attribute of the devil and he has possessed man with it.

 

Pride is a factor in man that makes him or her look down on others but considers himself better than them in all ways. (When I use man here I mean the whole human race i. e man and woman). Looking down on people is not good for any reason. When you look down on people it means you hate them that is, why you are looking down on them. That is how pride in anybody can give birth to hate. Pride makes you feel that you are the best human being on earth and others are considered lesser or nothing at all. Where there is no love in a place there is pride among the people of that place.

Pride builds a force impression and imagination around you making you feel pompous all the time. What you are feeling is force and not real but pride makes you think that it is real. Pride goes before a fall but He gives grace to the humble. I will rather prefer grace to pride which leads to a fall. Every pride man or woman who has this attributes will always fall but the humbled will be exalted.

 

Lust is a strong desire to get something either in good faith or in bad light. When a desire is so strong it becomes an obsession i.e. where your mind can be thinking of a particular thing all the time. If you are obsessed with education or inventions that is good but many of us are very good at thinking of bad things all the time.  This is affecting us as a people in so many ways.  If we should be obsessed at all then let us be obsessed with good things like education and self-development, and the desire to have good values and co-exist peaceful.

 The fact is we are not learning good things from those who are older than us because they don’t have any good examples to give us. What are we giving to the next generation of children?  Children of today are learning from ‘Yahoo Boys’ while the girls are learning from ‘Slay Queens’.  

What will the unborn children learn from the above groups of people? Nothing I say nothing!  Well what they have to teach us is the opposite of good character which is running the rat race or the chase after men. You see the reasons why I said there is nothing good to teach the child of today. My father once said that we should be crying for the unborn children when I asked him the reason why he said so. He answered me, that there is nothing good to learn from, from the type of people he is seeing around. No good moral lessons to learn from them he, said sadly. He said their time was far better because they had elders to learn good precepts from and that helped them to build their lives. But today the opposite is the case.

 

I grew up to see older parents praying for their sons and daughters to live longer than them but nowadays parents most parents don’t pray such prayers anymore because parents are suspecting their sons or daughters of rituals especially money rituals. If they still pray such prayers it could be those parents that brought up their children in the fear of the Lord. Money rituals have made so many youths exchanged long life for wealth. There is a great lust for money that is responsible for making young men and women trading and ritualizing themselves for money.

Youths of today live in affluence and die young. They don’t care about live anymore all they want is money how it comes nobody cares. They always say, ‘if I no get moni wetin I gain’? Many have died young and many are still willing to die young because all they want is the money not life. There is a popular saying that life without money is lifeless. And youths of today held fast to this and that is leading them astray. Mark you the lust for money brings trouble and nothing but trouble.

 

The woman who is she? According to the creation story in the scriptures God made her as a helpmate to the man that is to say helpful partner to her husband. But today the story is different as she has now transformed herself into a bigger being bigger than the man. She is something else entirely.

She has liberated herself completely from him and has started doing what he does. Smoking what he smoked, drinking what he drank. She assumes a role which is not hers. She is now a queen in their sight and they liked it so. In one of my article titled, Deity in Disguise, in it you will see what man has made the woman to become. That article is available in this blog.  Slay Queens oh what a name! Those are not helpmates though they are women or ladies; they don’t help you to do anything. They came for a different purpose and men like them for that. Time is coming when man will foolishly give these groups of ladies the opportunity to run their lives and they will gladly accept the task but sad to say they will run you to death if they have not started doing so already.

 

We are in a generation where people celebrate evil-doers and criminals and looked down on those few who are doing good. That is why people can embezzle or steal public funds only to go to their communities to take chieftaincy titles or buy a Presidential form for millions of naira just to contest an election. 

  For transparency sake, those politicians should be called for questioning by the agency in-charge of corrupt practices. If such persons are celebrated it will give people more room to embezzle because they have not seen anyone punished rather they celebrate such people in the society. That is a big problem confronting us.

 

The worship of wealth or money in the society is now causing a big problem among us. Youths are not ready to work again but they want to make money and ride big cars at all cause. Killings everywhere, missing persons in the news, yahoo boys everywhere etc., people are now afraid of them because their wealth are questionable. How can you explain this, a farmer’s son of 22 years old bought one of these latest cars worth millions of naira? A Civil Servant son of 24 years old recently did the same thing. Where is their wealth coming from we do not know? These groups of boys are not doing any meaningful job that can pay them such amount of money to buy a car of that magnitude. How can we be free from crimes when these vices are still in our midst?

Some youths will traveled to other countries and come back with big cars while others will return with loaves of bread and their parent will runaway refusing to eat because they have heard many negative stories about people who traveled to some places who returned with loaves of bread and give it to their parents who ate and later died mysteriously after eaten the bread. That is scary! Why will they not be afraid when young men and women are now riding cars worth millions of naira when they have not worked before in any ministry or doing any meaningful business. That is enough to make people suspect you and their suspicion may be true and correct. If your own parents could suspect you who am I not to suspect you and run away as well?

 

The only solution is to this problem is to deemphasized money and the worship of money in the society. In every facet of the society money is been worshiped. In Burial ceremonies, Birthdays celebrations, Wedding ceremonies, and Chieftaincy installations, etc.  

 Let us embrace godliness and contentment as the Holy Book puts it: The lust for money brings trouble and nothing but trouble but Godliness and contentment is great gain. Another solution to this predicament is that we should also deemphasized the preferences we put on all the material things of this world because they will pass away one day.

 

We should consider the fact that this life is vanity and hold to that which is eternal.
