DIRECTORIAL CONCEPT The directorial concept of a play is the artistic and aesthetic interpretation given to the play by the director; bring out the message of the play or the central ideal or theme of the play story using theatrical forces to achieve his main target. For example he uses: Actors, Costume. Lighting, Theatre Management and the type of stage suitable for the production. He uses the play to pass across a message and builds the whole play as the architect builds the house and designs it to a comfortable pattern. We can also say that the style of a character and his approach when directing a play can be either surrealistic or not.
